Welcome to Hawaii Focus Academy, School of Modeling!
Our Model Seminars are created with all levels of experience in mind. They are designed for males and females, ages five years and up. Our experienced instructors are all real-life models or related professionals in the modeling community. They will teach the skills and knowledge required of professional models along with giving you the many self-development techniques that it takes to be a professional model in today's world.
Focus Academy offers a series of training packages designed to give models the necessary information and basic skills of modeling to help build their self-esteem and confidence. Our courses will give you the needed edge to succeed in this very competitive industry.
Our packages will cover several different levels of training and, upon course completion, you will receive a professional modeling certificate issued by the Academy. Our team of instructors can also create specially designed classes geared for your specific needs.
Depending on which Academy package you choose, your course will include: Professional photo shoot, in-depth Stage & Runway presentation, Photo Movement, Video demeanor, Mannequin-Robotics, Dance, Convention Work, Spokes Model, Pageants, Auditions & Castings, Skincare-Makeup & Hair, along with all levels of marketing and much much more.
You will have the opportunity to learn all of this while experiencing the beautiful,tropical island of Hawaii and learn about Hawaii's fascinating history and culture. Models will go on location photo shoots with professional world renowned photographers. The photo shoots will utilize the islands natural backdrop of tranquil waterfalls, rain forests and endless botanical gardens.

THE MODEL EXPERIENCE / THREE DAY COURSE

This introductory course teaches catalog and commercial print modeling. Building awareness in photo movement with beginner techniques, while building self esteem. Includes a tropical excursion three look photo shoot, where new models help decide their own fantasy look on location; Fantasy theme-Hawaiian Hula Beauty, Ocean Mermaid or Tropical Fairy. Exploring basic posing, posture and fashion runway. “The Model Experience” allows you to expand your own creative style, giving you the confidence to explore your modeling goals.
Includes professional hair/makeup stylist along with 20 flash drive edited digital images, continental breakfast/lunch and a HFA model bag. Cost of two night accommodations are additional.
IS MODELING FOR YOU? / SEVEN DAY COURSE

This course is a fun and a basic introduction to the world of modeling. Student evaluation will help decide what type of model you are, depending upon age, height, body shape and individual goals and expectations. Awareness of how your body moves on the runway and basic photo posing techniques. Build self-esteem and confidence to reach your full potential. You will be exposed to such skills as how to prepare your make-up and hair for looks ranging from natural to professional. You will experience a tropical working holiday on the beautiful island of Hawaii, where you will participate in a three look photo shoot with a professional photographer. This will be an exotic location North of the island, giving you lasting memories of paradise. In addition, you will receive both before and after photos from a professional photographer. Included, professional hair/makeup stylist, 40 edited (flash drive) digital-high resolution images, continental breakfast/lunch and a HFA model bag. Cost for seven night accommodations are additional.
MODELING 101 / SEVEN DAY COURSE

This course is a more comprehensive, detailed introduction to someone who is seriously interested in becoming a model and learning the industry. Fashion, Commercial & Editorial Print and Runway. Detailed evaluations, before and after photos, advanced photo movement, runway, styling and marketing. Experience a tropical photo excursion on the beautiful and mystical island of Hawaii where you will participate in a three look photoshoot with a professional photographer. Learn industry expectations and create potential goals for a future in modeling. Internship; learning behind the scenes of a real photoshoot (looking through the eyes of the photographer). This course offers health and skincare solutions, corrective makeup techniques and application, preparing you for the real world of modeling and much more. SIX DAY SAFARI FANTASY PHOTO SHOOT

This (six look) photo shoot will include Fashion, Commercial and Editorial print posing. Models will be working one on one with our professional photographers and styling team, who will help train in photo movement and body awareness. Models will experience a tropical safari excursion, taking a days journey to some of the most spectacular locations of northern Big Island . The team will guide and assist models in building their portfolios, helping them to reach their full marketing potential. Includes professional hair/makeup stylist, 40 edited digital-high resolution images. Package also includes a portfolio "Look Book" of 12 edited images with front/back covers, continental breakfast & lunch and HFA model bag. Cost of six night accommodations are additional.
